
VINEYARD LOCATION: The vineyards were Uva Rara grapes grow (8500 mq) are located in Briona. The soil is rich in clay and the vines are exposed to the sun all day long. The vineyard was planted in 1999.
VARIETY: Uva Rara 100%, training system: Guyot.
VINTAGE:
The grapes were handpicked on the 19th of semptember. 2019 has been a very warm vintage, we got to harvest time with the vines encountering a slight hydric stress, that resulted in more concentrated grapes, which allowed the Uva Rara to show its best aromatic qualities. The clusters were softly destemmed and the alcoholic fermentation was conducted by indigenous yeasts for 5 days in a stainless-steel tank. The wine was bottled in March 2020.
TASTING NOTES
COLOUR: intense ruby red, with violet hints.
AROMA: fruity and aromatic.
TASTE: balanced, leaves a clean and fresh palate.
FOOD PAIRINGS: it matches very well with appetizers and fresh chees, it goes well with white meat.
